The problems-solving overseas project is a unique program that offers young adults to learn problem-solving skills with business leaders in Australia, San Francisco, London, and Singapore. Participants will choose a theme related to social issues such as educational inequity, sustainable development strategy and we will create four groups accordingly. Each group will go to one of the four countries for six months to learn from their mentors and create policy proposals.
participants will be able to learn english through immersion education and have cross cultural experiences living in their prospective countries. Through this opportunity, we hope participants gain leadership skills, problem-solving skills, and soft skills to engage in present business and social issues.
Through EF language schools, participants will spend six months learning english in either Australia, San Francisco, London, or Singapore. By learning in a multicultural class with students of different backgrounds, participants are able to learn english used for group work and discussions.
This program is led by Heizo Takenaka, a professor of Faculty of Policy Management and director of the Global Security Research Institute at Keio University and Toyo University.
From the first day to post-training, Heizo Takenaka and the mentors/advisors will be there to support the participants for their fieldwork and creating their policy suggestions. Participants also have the chance to ask questions to their mentors on their experiences working in the business world.
