不定詞継続は不定詞が後に続く動詞や助動詞の後に置かれ、継続している行動を表します。不定詞継続の形状：
to be + 現在分詞
現在不定詞と同様、toなし不定詞が必要な場合もあり、その場合はto をなくします。これは、ほとんどの法助動詞の後や、toなし不定詞が使われる他の場所で起こります。

- I'd really like to be swimming in a nice cool pool right now.
- I happened to be waiting for the bus when the accident happened.
- It must be nice to be going to a wedding overseas.
- You must be joking!
- We should be hurrying. We're late!
- You'd better be working on your report when I get there.
